`mick-mick has been a deviant for over two years now, and in that time he has proven himself to be one of the most selfless community minded people you could hope to meet. He has provided countless avatars and other images for deviants all over the site and asked nothing in return. On top of that, when people have marvelled at his mastery of the 50x50 square, rather than keeping his methods a secret, mick has opted to provide tutorials and take time out to individually coach deviants on the fine art of the animated gif. `mick-mick is that rarest of beasts. Style, Talent and Class all in one Humble deviant.

Just wanted to wish my friends, deviantART and the community a Very Merry New Year!


I hope everyone made it through the holidays relatively unscathed.

A common question I get asked is "are you coming back full time?"
I would have to answer "no" at this juncture.

I am a deviant for life, no question.

That means I am not leaving and haven't ever left but I am not here all the time. I do check in regularly but don't make my rounds like I use to. I don't have any other accounts and will not ghost. I love the place, its artists and the way the site continues to grow with functionality and visual appeal. Every time I log-in, even for a moment, I am stunned by something. Being away as much as I have, and seeing all I've seen over the years, it's hard to keep pace with advances in the community. Don't take my lack of effort as disdain but rather unfamiliarity and pure laziness.

I love this place and I love you guys. :heart:
